Are You Up To Speed With What Farmers Can Really Do With PRECISION AG?

Precision Agriculture

Where are we really with precision agriculture? Are farmers saving money with it? Is it helping in this current economy? And how does it really work? Our panel of on the ground experts take us through the technology, the latest offerings, and what farmers like most about it.

Leading the panel discussion will be Nick Emanuel, founder and president of CropMetrics, a leader in variable rate irrigation management. The innovations he develop on his farm are helping growers match water application rates to soil type, conserving water and reducing yield variability. Joining him is top-notch grower, Kerry & Angela Knuth of Mead, NE to discuss precision ag and how it is paying off for growers.

This panel will also include someone from retail and a manufacturing. They’ll discuss experiences and advancements in precision agriculture.

MoKan NAMA Gives Back …To Back

Written by NAMA on Thursday, January 19, 2017 , 10:22 am

In back-to-back days during the recent holidays, the MoKan Chapter of NAMA spent time giving back in honor of the season. On December 15, members joined our Trinkets ’n’ Trash social hour for a White Elephant gift exchange, where industry swag – and a few festive laughs – were swapped. More importantly, all registration fees from the meeting were presented as a holiday donation to Kansas City Toys for Tots.

The holiday donation, totaling $500, was presented the following day at the office of Woodruff Sweitzer in midtown Kansas City. Accepting the check were retirees of the U.S. Marine Corps. The contribution was used to buy toys at a local Toys-R-Us, but not before Toys-R-Us matched the funds dollar-for-dollar, which allowed for $1,000 worth of gifts to be purchased … and the hopes of making some children’s’ Christmas more merry.
