We can wish that they won&#8217;t, but they do. Please join the Iowa NAMA Chapter\u00c2\u00a0on Friday, January 9, where Dr. Kris Boone-Payne will talk about how people respond in a crisis, how we can prepare, how we behave as the crisis unfolds, and how to clean up afterward.\u00c2\u00a0 Communication is a key and can have a crucial role in reducing severity.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Boone is Department Head and Professor at Kansas State University.\u00c2\u00a0She supervises all functions in the department and represents it to other campus communications and IT groups and within K-State Research and Extension. She was previously departmental academic coordinator for agricultural communications and journalism and has been department head since 2003. Boone is a former extension agent and has experience in newspapers and public relations.
