Carolinas\/Virginia members and guests\u00c2\u00a0learned what\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is doing to promote the state&#8217;s leading industry, agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Members and guests\u00c2\u00a0learned about the <em>Best Practices in Branding Regional Products<\/em> on Wednesday, November 8. Attendees gathered at the Raleigh Farmers Market\u00c2\u00a0to take a tour of\u00c2\u00a0the market and learn more about how farmers are marketing their vegetables, fruits, meats, dairy products and other locally grown products directly to consumers.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, attendees enjoyed lunch at the State Farmers Market Restaurant, and heard program manager, Jeff Thomas, describe the <em>Got to Be NC<\/em> campaign, an extension of the long-time <em>Goodness Grows in North Carolina<\/em> branding program.<\/p>\n<p>Join Carolinas\/Virginia NAMA Tuesday, December 12 for <em>Best Practices in Preparing for the 2007 Farm Bill<\/em>.
