{"id":3240,"date":"2011-01-25T11:44:56","date_gmt":"2011-01-25T18:44:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/?p=3240"},"modified":"2011-01-25T14:55:49","modified_gmt":"2011-01-25T21:55:49","slug":"region-iv-best-of-nama-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/?p=3240","title":{"rendered":"Region IV Best of NAMA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/reg4bosadv111.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3288\" title=\"reg4bosadv11\" src=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/reg4bosadv111.jpg\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\" width=\"250\" height=\"290\" \/><\/a>Over 100 people participated in Region IV\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Best of NAMA Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 20, in Hoffman Estates (a Chicago suburb).\u00c2\u00a0 All Region IV chapters were represented \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Badger, Chicago, Heartland, and Mid-America.\u00c2\u00a0 Attendees from many other chapters were there, too, along with NAMA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Executive Committee, who had just finished their winter meeting.<\/p>\n<p>To kick off the ceremony, Orion Samuelson was recognized for his 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary in broadcasting.\u00c2\u00a0 One of Orion\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s many activities is serving on the Board of Directors for the Foods Resource Bank.\u00c2\u00a0 A contribution was made to the Foods Resource Bank in his and his wife\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s (Gloria) names.<\/p>\n<p>Max Armstrong, one of the most widely recognized and highly regarded journalists in agriculture and Director of Broadcasting for Farm Progress Companies, emceed the event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/reg4bospr111.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3289\" title=\"reg4bospr11\" src=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/reg4bospr111.jpg\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\" width=\"250\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Merit and First   Place winners in each category were recognized, with awards given to First Place winners.\u00c2\u00a0 The evening wrapped up with awards being presented to Best of Show winners in both Advertising and Public Relations.\u00c2\u00a0 The Best of Show winner for Advertising was for the producer or company-funded advertising campaigns or campaign elements directed to consumers category and went to Badgerland Financial, ACA and Stephan &amp; Brady Communications for their \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Rural Dreams Realized Testimonial Campaign.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0 The Best of Show winner for Public Relations was in the category of producer-funded public relations program directed to ag audiences.\u00c2\u00a0 The winning team included Dairy Management, Inc. and The Integer Group for their \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Telling Your Story Program.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>All first and merit winners are eligible to advance to the national  judging. You will receive an email from the national NAMA office on  January 28 with instructions on how to advance your entries. Those  entries that win at the national judging will be announced at the Best  of NAMA Ceremony that kicks off the 2011 Agri-Marketing Conference,  April 13-15, at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Kansas City.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to all of the Region IV winners!
