{"id":2361,"date":"2010-05-03T11:40:56","date_gmt":"2010-05-03T18:40:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/?p=2361"},"modified":"2010-05-03T12:46:08","modified_gmt":"2010-05-03T19:46:08","slug":"agri-business-leaders-come-together-in-the-heartland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/?p=2361","title":{"rendered":"Agri-Business Leaders Come Together in the Heartland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2375\" title=\"ts1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/ts11.jpg\" alt=\"ts1\" width=\"250\" height=\"166\" \/>The National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) concluded a wildly successful conference on Friday, April 23, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Boasting the highest attendance numbers in a decade, the mood at the conference was decidedly upbeat.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The economy is looking better compared to last year, and people\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s attitudes are very positive,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d shared Jenny Pickett, NAMA Executive Vice President\/CEO. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153And since Kansas City is so centrally located, it was easier for more people to attend.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2376\" title=\"ts2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/ts21.jpg\" alt=\"ts2\" width=\"250\" height=\"166\" \/>Another important ingredient in the conference\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s success was the stellar program packed with well-known speakers.<\/p>\n<p>David Meerman Scott got the conference underway with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The New Rules of Marketing and PR.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d His witty and fast-paced presentation challenged conference goers to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153think differently\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and earn the attention of interested markets. Scott emphasized that posting videos, writing blogs and being active in social media channels is essentially free. He shared real world examples of how businesses are becoming shrewd users of these new tools to gain more awareness and better ROIs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2428\" title=\"bosADV\" src=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/bosADV1.jpg\" alt=\"bosADV\" width=\"250\" height=\"227\" \/>Attendees were regaled with the folksy energy and wisdom of Andy Andrews during the second general session. Andrews is a spellbinding storyteller and kept the crowd engaged with his stories, anecdotes and observations. He peppered his conversation with golden rule tips to help everyone in the audience, regardless of their profession, become more successful.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Mobley closed the conference with photographs and candid vignettes of life on the American farm. Mobley traveled over 100,000 miles through 37 states to complete his book, <em>American Farmer: The Heart of Our Country<\/em>. He complimented farmers and ranchers, saying \u00e2\u20ac\u0153you rise every day with a love of the land and an integrity of spirit.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2429\" title=\"bosPR\" src=\"https:\/\/www.namablog.org\/images\/\/bosPR1.jpg\" alt=\"bosPR\" width=\"250\" height=\"231\" \/>This year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s conference also featured breakout sessions on social media, branding, trade show marketing, public relations and more. In addition, 2010 NAMA Agribusiness Leader of the Year, Dave Seehusen, and Marketer of the Year, Stephanie Liska, received their distinguished awards during the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Best of NAMA awards were distributed the evening before the conference began.
